About

Naomi discovered her passion for counseling as an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis when she served as a crisis peer counselor. Treatment Approach

Naomi is a trauma-informed clinician who utilizes an integrative approach to therapy and believes that therapy should be tailored to the specific needs, learning styles, and preferences of her clients.  She grounds her work in a relational-cultural, intersectional feminist lens, which involves exploration of how sociocultural systems shape hardships, and how these systems also create opportunities to heal, form healthy relationships, and build a stronger sense of identity. Naomi has particular interest and extensive experience with incorporating Internal Family Systems therapy. IFS guides clients toward increased compassion, clarity, and connection with the self and others through exploration of their multiple “parts.” Naomi is also trained in Somatic- and Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (SAFE EMDR) and is happy to incorporate EMDR to help address a number of presenting concerns. Other therapeutic modalities that Naomi frequently integrates into care include mindfulness practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
